Carrying on

I always wonder where everyone went and what they did after the encounter in the garden - we know that the disciples end up at Emmaus in another room with Jesus - we are not sure where the women go. But my curiosity is - when did resurrection become a fact of life - or did it?

When anything big happens we tend to adjust to it - amazing things become every day when we experience them repeatedly - it is just the way we are made. One of the advantages of living in a Church where we celebrate festivals every year is that it helps us to renew our energy around the amazing events of our faith - so before we move on to the next thing this week - lets dwell a little in the resurrection - let's encounter Christ on with eyes wide open rather than thinking "we already know about that".

The excitement of new life is real and we probably should try not to let it become something on a long list of "other things".
