Widow's Mite

Being turned inside out probably does not sound like a lot of fun - but that seems to be what Jesus suggests. Not standing on the sidelines, watching and feeling like everything is OK with our world but scooting on in there and putting ourselves right into God's hands - that is what the widow did. She gave all she had, she turned her world upside down and wrung herself out - here God this is everything that I have - my guess is that the money was just the outside - the money was just the end product and not the action. The action was an all in all of everything giving - of being turned inside out by love. A woman with a only a few small coins to anchor her to the norms of the world got that - or perhaps she could see more clearly without the distraction.
