I was a little perturbed today about how to link the festival of Mary to the sermon title I was given....the Old Testament Law in 12 minutes. Somehow it goes though, Mary refers back to Abraham in her song, The Magnificat and so the beginning of the story and the fulfilment of the Covenant are linked. The Bible tends to work like this with amazing twists and turns with which is points deeper and deeper into the reality of God and God's love for us.
Sometimes we get very wound up over small pieces of the Good News - this is all well and good - so long as we remember the GOOD NEWS - the Gospel of Jesus Christ - the God who remembers His covenant people throughout all time and listens to the songs of saints and sinners alike.
