Supersuit

So....I have been working on the Supersuit design. If you missed the sermon here's the point. We all too often try to build up protective walls around our lives to stop ourselves getting hurt  - if you like we make ourselves "supersuits" to help us keep ourselves safe no matter what happens. Today we were celebrating All Saints and of course, the wonderful thing which the Saints all knew was that they dud not need a supersuit - not because they were hiding from the world but because they were launching themselves straight at it but with another bit of sure knowledge tucked away - that they were free in Jesus. This is the great promise in the raising of Lazarus (John 11) - not that Lazarus is raised, we know that God has power over life and death, but that Jesus tells them to unbind him, set him free. This is the freedom which the Saints enjoyed - this true freedom in the love of God and that is why they did all the wonderful and crazy things which they did- because God loved them and they wanted everyone else to know all about that!
