Pogo Stick

The kids were pogo sticking in the front yard on the side walk when one of them slipped and dig deep in the grass. When I went outside they had a nice hole going. I thought they were digging for fun, at first, but they were digging for the rubber end of the stick which was stuck in.

It was going to be a long way down - a foot or more - the thing had gone in down to the foot rests. I went to get a shovel and helped them dig. It took a while - we dig some and compared the depth of out little hole to the stick. Various conversations were going on about how it might actually have fallen off somewhere else and my husband said give up.

But just as all was looking hopeless, I felt something in the clay - there it was - right where it should be. We dug deep and held on and found what we should where we thought it should be.

It seems like a good parable for life. My son stuck it back on. The pogo stick is just about their favorite toy and without the rubber piece it would be dangerous and noisy. They were happy to have stuck it out.

Stick it out, dig deep, God it right where God should be - but sometimes life gets stuck deep in the mud.

I could not believe it could be so deep in the ground. I am glad you persevered....and the pogo stick fun continues...thanks to you.
