Making things grow

From little comes much in today's story from John as thousands are fed.

Last night I took part in a Mass - it was in a Church whose tradition is not High Church but who wanted to experience Anglo-Catholic worship - this made it interesting. I didn't have to do the planning - someone else had figured it all out so I just had to follow directions.

The only reason I mention this is because it is so often in worship that I experience God's abundance - not only for myself but I witness it in those aroudn me, I think it might be intrusive to list what I see as I priest when I look at a congregation but I can say that I do not think it at all far fetched to think that Jesus could have taken a hand full of food and fed so many when I see people in Church.

I find this abundance in many places - God takes my little words and actions and infuses them with grace and then....like I say I have no trouble believing in miracles.

It is a privilege to witness the transformation of grace - and painful when it is not allowed because short easy human answers replace its mystery.
